This is a speech I gave at my church's 1st anniversary. Latter Rain Disciple Center http://latterraindisciplecenter.org Why We Celebrate We are here today to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Latter Rain Disciple Center. Some of us, looking back believe that one year ago, will simply see the beginning of a new local church -- one of many. Some looking back see something new coming into being rising like the legendary phoenix from the ashes of what was before. But for many, one year ago was not the beginning but the realization of a vision for ministry that had begun many months -- even years earlier. We are here today to celebrate the power of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. The good news that the Kingdom of God is Here Right Now! We celebrate and give thanks for those whose vision, planning, service, and prayers made this day possible. We celebrate and give thanks for those who have served so faithfully in leadership positions as Pastors, Ministers, and ministry leaders. We celebrate and give thanks for those who have willingly and freely given of themselves to teach, encourage, counsel, and edify the body of Christ. We celebrate and give thanks for hearts willing enough to be taught, humble enough to receive correction, open enough to recognize and flow with the Spirit of God and loving enough to care for one another, comfort one another and build each other up. We celebrate and give thanks for all those who are no longer physically a part of this ministry family yet are with us ever in spirit and in our prayers. We celebrate and give thanks for the professions of faith we have heard, and answers to prayer that we have experienced, We celebrate and give thanks for a congregation that has a deep desire to worship God faithfully in spirit and in truth. We celebrate and give thanks for a congregation which loves to hear God's Word, give Him thanks, sing His praises, and seek His guidance and strength. We celebrate and give thanks for a commitment to remain true to the vision despite appearances and opposition from the evil one. For we walk by faith and not by sight. We celebrate and give thanks for the gifting and anointing within this local manifestation of the body of Christ that has enabled us to reach far beyond our size and worldly resources to touch and impact the world We celebrate and give thanks for our children who are being trained in the fear and admonition of the Lord that they may love and serve Him and their fellow man all they days of their lives. For we are anointed to enlarge God's Kingdom.

Humans

Men and women are one of the creations of Allah. They are distinct from plants, animals, jinn, and angels. They were created after angels and jinn; the first man was created from clay. Allah puts a soul into man but in no way is man's soul Allah, or "a part of Allah". The first man was Adam and all human beings come from his family. Adam had no mother or father; he was created and given life by Allah. Allah created a wife for Adam who bore his children. Allah created the human beings to order them to believe, profess the truth about Allah and His messengers, worship Allah only, and follow His orders during life on earth. Some of mankind has and does worship Allah correctly, obeys His orders, and will be rewarded beyond imagination. Some of mankind has not and will not worship Allah correctly and will be punished by Allah with severity in Hellfire. This life of a human or jinn always ends with death and there is no exception. Humans do not choose their race, sex, parents, or birthplace and will not be held accountable for those aspects of their life on the Day of Judgment. No human is doomed to Hell because he was born as a certain sex or race. Allah the Merciful has promised any human or jinn who dies as a follower of the true Religion will receive Paradise forever. Those people who truly never heard about the correct belief in Allah and any of the messengers during their entire lifetime and died in that state will not go to Hellfire. But those sane and pubescent people who have heard of the correct belief in Allah and His messenger and die not embracing this true Religion will dwell in Hell forever. The correct belief in Allah has never changed and every prophet and messenger has said the same concerning belief in Allah: No one is God but Allah and mankind is to believe in Him and worship Him only. The prophet for the people on earth at present is Muhammad, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, and the laws for the present population are the laws that Prophet Muhammad was given by Allah for mankind. There will be no new laws given, for there will be no new messenger. Usually, the person is given one life in this world, so a person is wise to live this life correctly. No matter how appealing it is to some people, they will not "reincarnate" after they die. This and other false beliefs about mankind and Allah are whispered into human's minds by Satan and the devils, and some men are fooled into believing them.

Intelectual Proofs There are many intellectual proofs on this issue. We will mention a few, in a much summarized way. First of all: 1. Prophet Muhammad challenged the tribes who had articulated the Arabic language to come with one verse of the shortest verses of the Quraan. And they couldn't do that. The Quraan is a very rich language, that it's impossible for a man to be able to make it up. If they were able to do that, they would have saved themselves and their tribes, from the blood shed. And met the challenge, but they didn't. So the Prophet came to challenge the people of Quraysh with the Quraan. How? The Arabs back than had articulated the Arabic Language and mastered it, and Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon him and all Prophets and messengers) was known to be unlettered, that is he did not read or write what is read and written. And he called people to Islam. Among his miracles that prove his truthfulness, was the Quraan. He came with this great challenge; with the Quraan; that is known to have very rich words. The people could not meet the challenge. If they were able to meet the challenge of the Prophet, and come up with one short verse that meets or equals one that's from the Quraan, they would have saved themselves from the bloodshed. So, the Quraan cannot be human-made, or angle-made. It's the speech of Allah that is unlike the speech of the creation. The Arabic words that we read in the holy book of the Quraan are expressions of the eternal speech of Allah which is not a letter or sound, because Allah does not resemble the creations in any way. 2. Prophet Muhammad was unlettered. The Quraan is revealed in a rich language. At the time when the Arabs were very articulate in the Arabic language, they were known for that, and they strong in poetry. It's well known that Prophet Muhammad was raised as an orphan, he did not learn from the knowledgeable people, or from the clever ones. Rather he was a Prophet with miracles. 3. One remarkable feature of the Quraan is its content of an abundant wealth of scientific information. Much of this information has only been discovered by mankind in the last century. If this points to anything, it certainly indicates that the Quraan could not have been written by any human being. When the Quraan was revealed to Prophet Muhammad 14 centuries ago, there simply was no human being who had any access or knowledge of such scientific knowledge. The scientific information in the Quraan covers main fields of knowledge. 4. And finally, among the intellectual proves that it's intellectually impossible that the Quraan is made up by Prophet Muhammad, or by a human, are the facts and the astonishing information and news in the Quraan.
